The Barber/Styling Program will expose individuals to all aspects of barbering through 580 hours of lecture, practice demonstration, computer-based instruction, practical and theory worksheets with illustrations and client work.
Upon completion of a seven-month curriculum, students will receive a Barber/Styling Certificate and will be well-prepared to take the New York State Board Examination.

Occupation Specific Tasks:
Provide services to clients such as shampoos, rinses, conditioners, and treatments; haircutting and shaping; hairstyling; and artificial hair procedures. Advise clients on how to care for their hair.
