The Barber/Styling Program will expose individuals to all aspects of barbering through 580 hours of lecture, practice demonstration, computer-based instruction, practical and theory worksheets with illustrations and client work.

Upon completion of a seven-month curriculum, students will receive a Barber/Styling Certificate and will be well-prepared to take the New York State Board Examination.

Prepares the student to take the NYS Board Examination to become a licensed cosmetologist.

Anyone interested in entering the challenging and rewarding career of Cosmetology will be exposed to up-to-the-date instructions, hands-on training and enhanced support for job readiness in a multi-cultural learning environment.
Culinary Arts is designed to give students a basic but diverse experience in today’s food service establishments and is a program for adults looking for a career change or a fresh start in the restaurant industry. The training will involve hands-on experience in the kitchen. The focus will be on basic fundamentals of the industry along with building knowledge of the fashionable trends in the culinary industry. The focus in the kitchen will be on product and equipment identification, kitchen math, sanitation, knife skills, baking principles, inventory and purchasing, and basic cooking skills in-line with American Culinary Federation guidelines. The program features state-of-the-art kitchen facilities, award-winning culinary instructors, small class size/personal attention and preparation of over 1,000 meals daily.

In the classroom students will learn computer skills, work force job skills and résumé writing. Upon graduation from the program students will be able to fill positions at entry level and mid-entry levels. They will learn the team player philosophy and be comfortable and confident in acquiring a job.
The Security Guard Act of 1992 mandates that all private security trainers must be certified. All security guards are required to complete an 8 Hour Pre-Assignment Training Course prior to applying to the Department of State for a Security Guard Registration Card.  REOC’s Security Guard Training is designed to provide the 8 Hour Pre-Assignment Training Course so that successfully completing students are trained and approved to apply for the Department of State for a Security Guard Registration Card.
