REOC Application Process

Please review all instructions before applying.

  1. Complete the online application at REOC.brockport.edu.
  2. Submit acceptable REOC application documentation* to determine eligibility.
  3. Schedule the TABE test with REOC Admissions. (Upon approval of accepted application documentation*, the applicant will be scheduled for the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE)).
  4. Take the TABE NOTE: Missing a scheduled TABE test date may result in delay or inability to re-take the test.
  5. Submit additional program-specific documentation. For required documentation, please view the program schedule.
    NOTE: Program-specific requirements may also necessitate taking a TEST of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS).

Acceptable REOC Application Documentation*

Submit acceptable REOC application documentation* to determine eligibility. Documentation should be brought in-person to the REOC Admissions office.

Current Income Verification*

Provide one of the following documents:

  • Tax Returns (Federal 1040/1040A or 1040EZ) (No W2s or pay stubs)
  • Unemployment Statement of Benefits
  • Social Security Award Letter (SSI or SSD)
  • DHS Letter of Referral or DHS Budget Sheet
Proof of New York State Residency*

Documents listed below must include ALL of the following information:

  • Applicant’s name
  • Applicant’s New York State Address

Provide one of the following documents:

  • New York State driver’s license or non-driver’s photo ID
  • New York State vehicle registration or voter registration
  • New York State deed
  • New York State lease (apartment or automobile)
  • New York State mail postmarked at least one day
  • New York State tax return
  • New York State or local agency documentation
Academic Eligibility Verification*
  • High School Equivalency Diploma
  • High School Diploma
  • High School discharge documentation (on official high school letterhead)
  • Letter of Good Standing (on official high school letterhead)
  • Official High School transcript (sealed) or official high school records
  • Official College transcript (sealed and indicating no more than 32 credits) 
  • College dismissal letter (on official college letterhead)
  • Letters from employers or agencies citing the need for remediation or the acquisition of job skills for incumbent workers (on official agency letterhead)
