About This Program
The Commercial Driver’s License Permit (CDLP) Program is designed to prepare participants for success on the New York State CDL written permit examination. This short-term training provides students with the knowledge and skills required to earn their CDLP. Additionally, students will gain practical experience using a commercial driving simulator, which allows them to practice the essential skills needed for success on their road test in a safe and controlled environment.
CDL Test Prep I TPPR 9410
Driving Safety, Transporting Cargo Safely, Air Brakes, Combination Vehicles, Pre- trip Inspection, Basic Vehicle Control.
CDL – Simulator TRNS 4004
Simulation training to support success on Road Test
CDL Test Prep II TPPR 9411
CDL Permit test prep II is an elective for those students who are not successful in passing the permit test. This two week elective will provide the knowledge and skill to support successful completion of the CDL Permit exam.
