New Student Orientation

Welcome to the Rochester EOC

Dear REOC students:

Thank you for choosing the Rochester EOC. I hope all is well.

Our approach to your education is unique and we support holistic learning. Throughout your time at the REOC our goal is for each of you to gain knowledge in your academic endeavors or vocational pursuits, become involved in your community, and grow in your personal responsibility.

Over the past fifty years, REOC has been in the center of the Greater Rochester Area, supporting economic growth and development through the community-based academic and workforce development programs we offer. Our teachers, counselors, support staff, and administrators, with the support of SUNY Brockport and SUNY UCAWD have worked together to provide stellar education and needed assistance to ensure that you are successful.

We wish you all the best, and we look forward to meeting as many of you as possible throughout the Fall. Please remember to ask questions and to utilize our many supportive services available to you.

Welcome to the REOC family. May your experience at the REOC be transformative similar to our countless graduates.

Please stay safe.

Meet Your Counselors

Counseling services are available to each student. Conversations and counseling sessions between the student and counselor are confidential. Counselors assist students with personal family, health and social services concerns. Any time a student has concerns, he or she is highly encouraged to seek the guidance and support of REOC counselors.

College Connections

The Office of College Connections assists REOC students as well as potential college students from the community in going on to college. Students are assisted with choosing the right college, college survival skills, and the college and financial aid process.

Special Accommodations

REOC provides services and reasonable accommodations to all students with disabilities who provide the required documentation, and make a personal request for services. Request for services and/or accommodations must be initiated by the student. All information related to student disabilities is confidential.

Career Services

The Office of Career Services assists in employment placement activities. Career Advisors assist both current and former REOC students. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment & Training Program (SNAP E&T Program) provides supportive services to those who receive SNAP/Food Stamps benefits through the Department of Human Services (DHS).

Student Handbook

REOC Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Values, and Brand Promise. The Table of Contents will assist you in navigating throughout the sections of the entire handbook. Policies and Procedures are presented and must be acknowledged by each student.
