Program Description
This program offers child development training that is mandated by New York State for all staff working in licensed child care and family child care settings. The goal is to raise the quality of child care by providing students with increased knowledge and skills to help them better serve children and their families.

Employment of childcare workers is projected to grow 5 percent from 2014 to 2024, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Job opportunities for childcare workers are expected to be favorable. ¹
