Program Description
Anyone interested in entering the challenging and rewarding career of Cosmetology will receive hands-on training and enhanced support for job readiness in a multi-cultural learning environment.
Under the direction of New York State Board of Practical Examiner instructors with over forty years of up-to-date experience in the cosmetology field, students are prepared to take the NYS Board Examination to become a licensed cosmetologist.
CAREER OUTLOOK
Employment of barbers, hairdressers, and cosmetologists is projected to grow 10 percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations. Most job openings will result from the need to replace workers who leave the occupation. ¹
