This course is designed as a review program as well as an accelerated alternate delivery program for practicing surgical technologist wishing to take the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) Certified Surgical Technologist Exam. The students must meet requirements as stated in the list of prerequisites.

Completion of a CAAHEP or an ABHES Accredited Surgical Technology Program; Copy of Certificate, a copy of Transcript of Records or an original letter of completion from the school signed by Program Director; Pre-Assessment Exam on Surgical Technology; If the student is employer trained or graduated from a non-CAAHEP/non-ABHES school, the student is required to submit the following additional documents: Copy of GED, High School Diploma or College Diploma; Letter of verification from employer of 120 scrubs (80 in the First Scrub Role, 40 in the Second Scrub Role or 2 years experience in the First Scrub Role position; Two letters of competency from the former and/or current supervisor attesting the competency in surgical technology; Transcript of records from an accredited/non-accredited program.
