Mr. Matthew Rewald has been the sole teacher in the Pharmacy Technician program at the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center since August 2012. Throughout his professional career, Matt has always believed that the best teachers work in their field or have extensive experience in what they are teaching. He has over a decade of experience in both community and institutional pharmacies as a pharmacy technician. Ultimately, he was a supervisor for three years before employment at REOC. He is continually learning and adapting to changes both in the pharmacy field and in the community to attempt to bring realistic information, stories, and practices to his students. He maintains per diem employment at a local hospital (Rochester Regional Health Systems) as a Pharmacy Technician to achieve this goal and remain connected to the community. His current educational goal includes completion of his B.S. in May and continuing to pursue a M.S. in Health Care Administration. He wants to be knowledgeable of general health care practices to give students the broad picture on what is going on in health care, not only pharmacy.
